Pintxos ibiza - A basque commercial treat. It reaches proportions of Sep 27, 2015
A great little bar!

What a gem!

So clandestine as a location. Hidden in an alleyway near the bank (BBVA) and popular bank.

Thursdays are the best! - hugely popular nights!

Everyone is there, from locals to tourist.

The food? - Basque pintxos and tapas (yea, madrid style)

Highly recommended in terms of its idea as a pub. Most basque pintxos in San sebastian (place where the food orinigates from), are usually more eateries and restaurants than bars. This is clearly a bar. The t-shirt of Iker Munian hangs in the wall by the entrance, one of my favourite players of that team. And investor and a great player for the team.

The food for a bar is literally genius ! - small finger food full of great sauces, raw and cooked fish as well as vegetable and cheeses. A succulent treat.

Now to be quick and to the point, there are better pintxos in San Sebastian (about 5-7 hours away by car/train and airplane!). So if you are in Ibiza and want to try a new style of pub than the regular English or German style that San Antonio and/or Ibiza town has to offer. Do not look further than this!

Absolutely recommended! - food starts at 1 euro pintxos and they go up from there, depending on the ingredient complexity and quality.

It is not cheap! - the main reason is obvious. If you come early at around 8 or 9 pm when the food has been freshly served you will want to try so many of these pintxos/tapas that you will probably spend about 20 -30 euros, remember that the drinks are also and they do add up. Especially if in your first visit you are very hungry it will add up. Subsequently thereafter, a customer usually knows the times and days to come and which pintxos to grab and go with its according drink.

Overall- the place is fantastic. It is young, it is family, it is friendly, it is culture, it is unique and if that was not enough it has a bit of genius in it.

Check out San Sebastian in google see why that one little town alone has 3 separate Michelin world star restaurants. Food and imagination go hand in hand it seems. A pub that approaches this type of style and service deserve not just a review but a strong recommendation for its flexible pricing and its passion for food and attention.
