Pinguino
Pinguino Reviews

DE-licious! Fresh seafood, prepared to perfection. I had a fish fillet with shrimp, octopus and calamari, all covered in a creamy butter sauce. I could not believe how good it was. My friend had grilled shrimp, and loved that too. Chips with spicy salsa seem to be standard pre-entree fare on the island (similar to a basket of bread in the United States, for example), as do sides of fresh vegetables and rice. All of it was excellent.
Pinguino is a quiet restaurant across from Playa Norte, and is affiliated with the Posada del Mar hotel. The prices were reasonable and the service was good. I highly recommend it! Part of the Mexico 2007 travel blog |

I had thought this would be my last day on the island before heading back to the mainland. I made sure to see the turtle sanctuary, walk a bit on the beach, and take more pictures of Isla. On my way to drop my laundry off, though, I ran into the guy…… Last day...or is it? |
