Pimbi Campsite Serengeti Serengeti National Park Reviews
Clean and basic campsite in central Serengeti. Lions included Jul 19, 2014
We spent two nights there and found it well managed for african standards. Toiled and showers were quite clean, working and water is provided along waste removal almost every day. (Resident mongooses cooperate to cleanup) Kitchen area and dining place are protected by fence for keeping out monkeys (and maybe other animals in case).
The campsite, according to a general policy here, are not fenced therefore you have to be careful, especially at nighttime (one night I was walking to toilet when I spotted a lioness walking by… and decided to pee elsewhere).
Generally there are non safety problems with animals in this place, but common sense is needed.
By the standards we met this is a very good campsite and I will recommend.
