Pilar Monastery Goa Reviews
Pilar Monastery - Venerable Fr. Agnelo - Our Lady of Pilar Feb 20, 2010
This Church is the Convento do Pilar, built by the Fransiscan Capuchos from Arraon in Spain in 1613. It is now the mother house of the Society of Pilar. It is dedicated to Our Lady of Pilar and is well known for the thousands of pilgrims who come there at the feet of Venerable Fr. Agnelo.
The church has a nice little garden inside the church. The corridors are decorated with old paintings and maps. The steps to this church are carved out of the hill winding its way to the top. The view from the top is excellent; you can see the green fields and some colonial houses. There are some poor people sitting out for alms. It is said that the prayers of the poor are strong and they will pray for your good health or anything you request for.
