Piknik Pavilion Budapest Reviews
a real taste of Hungarian cuisine May 22, 2015
This small eatery is located in the heart of the Buda area, right next to the beautiful Matthias Church and the Fisherman’s Bastion, with only a small garden separating it from these two major sights.
Although the „Pavilon" is nothing more than a large gazebo with a big terrace and an incredible large BBQ, it somehow invites you to come over and sit down and when it happens to rain like when we were in the vicinity, there is no doubt what so ever. This is the place to be!
Besides authentic Hungarian dishes, they also serve snacks and a few choices of sandwiches which all looked very yummy.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, but unlike the English menu charts, they don’t speak it very well, but in the end, if you receive the thing you order, even sign language is enough!
