..so we ended up going to the falls rather karekare today. We just thought we'd have a quick walk up before heading off for the day.When we got to the falls it was so peaceful and serene we ended up staying and having a swim in the FREEZING water - thus ending all the serenity through our screaming :-)We got used to it though and it proved really exhilarating. We walked up to a few levels before coming home... and falling asleep for 3 hours!!!

The air is cleaner, the grass greener and all my senses are intensified many times.... the North Island is so pretty. The first day I went to drive around west Auckland with a lovely kiwi couple, just amazing, the light was perfect in the late afternoon when I arrived. Their house has a back garden consisting of serene mangrove forest, what I wouldn't kill to have a place like that (oops don't quote me on that haha). First day was a good day :o)

Today we got up late again (surprise surprise) and formulated a plan for my final 2 days in Auckland. Unfortunately the weather has been too rubbish to do any of the outdoors excursions that are around Auckland and so we have saved all the remaining options up for tomorrow. The weather forecasting here is diabolical. Both Monday & today the forecast said it would be sunny, perhaps rain later in Auckland. I can assure you there has been no hint of sunshine. Not to mention, the weather...

best place on earth for me yet...beautiful,prehistoric,cheap!!!!!!!
