Piazzale Michelangelo Reviews
A square for the Master - Piazzale Michelangelo Jun 21, 2006
Built in honor to Michelangelo, is located in the top of a hill, which makes you able to get a gorgeous view of the city.
This place is very well known because of the panoramic views of Florence and the Arno valley. This square is a popular spot with locals and tourists. You can find copies of Michelangelo’s works, including David and the Medici chapel sculptures from San Lorenzo. Although is a long climb to arrive there, it's a nice spot to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the city, so every single step is 100% worth. The most amazing part of the tour was at the top of the hill or the Piazzale Michelangelo. This is a view of Florence NOT to be missed. After the tour I headed home exhausted. I spent the remainder of the afternoon hanging out with the Chilean couple and others at the hostel. A guy named Brandon even lent me his clippers… Florence - Italy |
