Great piadinas Apr 16, 2011
Although the piadina traditionally comes from the Romagna region of Italy, its popularity has meant that it is well known in Lombardy too. This shop specialises in piadinas, which are an Italian flatbread which comes with a variety of fillings. It’s a bit like a hot sandwich or wrap. The fillings available here are pretty extensive from meat to various vegetables. I opted for the cheese and vegetable one. Priced between 3-6 Euros, the piadinas are very filling, freshly made and are healthy. The place also serves a limited amount of soft drinks and breads/wraps you can take home. A limited amount of cafeteria style seating is available inside, but this is more of a take away place. Great spot for a snack that is filling enough to qualify as lunch on its own!
