Today I headed out to view the "Plain of Jars" that are situated across three different sites. Before visitors were allowed on any of the sites the Mines Advisory Group spent years clearing unexploded bombs and mines from the area. You are advised when visiting not to stray off the marked path. Around the plain of jars are numerous crater holes inflicted by US bombs around the time of the Vietnam war 1960-1970. The following morning we set out on our day trip, all ten of us, who arrived on the same bus from Luang Prabang. We first stopped off at the local market to stock up on some food for a picnic lunch by the waterfall we were going to dropped by later that day. When this trip starts, there is something called...a plan. Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Thailand, Malaisia, India and Nepal again. I wonder what really happens and where I'll end up.
