Phoenix Airport Museum Reviews
The Tucson Saguaro Photography Invitational Jan 08, 2011
I, recently went to Phoenix to pick up my girlfriend, who was arriving at Sky Harbor International Airport from Minneapolis. Since I had arrived a little earlier than her arrival time, I made a brief stop at the Phoenix Airport Museum. The Museum located on leve 3, in Terminal 4 was featuring an exhibition of the Tucson Saguaro in a theme called "Arizona Icon"
The "Arizona Icon" will be running through January 30, 2011. So if you happend to be travelling through terminal 4 at Sky Harbor, take time to visit the Airport Museum. The Museum aims at promoting Arizona Tourism through show casing Arizona's cultural heritage, and unique art.The museum serves three major airporports ncluding Deer Valley and Phoenix Goodyear Airports.
The focus on the giant Saguaros during the "Arizona Icon" showcase is to capture the images that first stirred imaginations and interest in Arizona as early as 1871 when the Arizona Saguaro was first photographed. Most of the photos were digital, which made me think about joining the artists in promoting Arizona.
Stop by and get inspired.
