Nice, affordable place to get authentic Vietnamese food Mar 20, 2011
Pho Cali, a branch of the famous Pho Cali chain that was started in San Diego, CA and continues to grow in the States, is the first place to go should you want Vietnamese food. It is not only because of the restaurant's excellent authentic Vietnamese food but also its relaxed, comfortable atmosphere and its friendly staffs.

The food is the best thing about Pho Cali. They provide the closest possible version of Vietnamese food, not the fast food Vietnamese-American food. You can find over twenty different kinds of pho (Vietnamese beef noodle), freshly-made spring rolls, summer rolls, some different kinds of vermicelli, Vietnamese hoagies..., all home-cooked and at very affordable price. A big bowl of pho is around $6.50, an acceptable price for a nice, big meal.

Even though looking fancier outside, the atmosphere inside Pho Cali is very cozy, relaxed and friendly. The staffs are also very helpful in explaining the menu and fulfilling your request. Their English is not flawless, but enough to communicate with English-speaking guests.
