These are some photos and a few journal entries I wanted to share from my first solo backpacking trip. It lasted 9 months.
In retrospect, I wish I had been on this site to write a blog in real time and learn from all the people here. Also, I just love seeing that map Travbuddy draws up outlining my route! I'll be adding my photos whenever I find some time so bare with me while I get them them up.

To avoid the annoying staff at OK guesthouse, we decided to try out the Sunday Guesthouse in a different area of town. The hostel was nice and the staff super but the location isn't great. We were however, close to the Olympic Stadium and managed to rise early for a jog around the running track. Th…

After Siem Reap, I spent a few days in Cambodia's Capital, Phnom Penh. I thought the traffic in Bangkok and Siem Reap was bad! - 10 times worse here - everybody just keeps driving, nobody yielding the right of way etc. Still it all seems to work and I didn't witness any collisions while I was the…

So my friends and I took the boat from Phnom Penh to Siem Riep to see the countryside. This was my third time traveling on the Mekong River to get to Siem Riep and it's always an exciting adventure. The fun part was walking a six inch plank, with your massive suitcase, to get to dry land from the boat at the end.
