For my summer vacation, I met up with Sonya's family in Cambodia for one week. It was awesome! Unfortunately, I didn't take a camera, therefore I didn't take any pictures. BUT, her family sent me a few. Biggest and kindest family. Amazingly, incredibly ridiculously cheap. Cheap isn't the word for it, it was almost FREE. You could easily live off of $5 a day, depending on how luxurious you are. I definately want to go back and visit them and volunteer.

I was picked up at the airport by an old school friend whom I hadn’t seen for ages. At least 10 years must have passed since we saw each other the last time. He lives in Phnom Penh and works for Norsk Folkehjelp. Landmines are a big problem in Cambodia, and he works there as an advisor/consultant…

Both of us are healthy now and a few days around the pool have helped to tan our new, much slimmer physiques. The wide variety of International cuisine here in Siem Reap won't be much help in maintaining all of that, but it is great to have my appetite back. Last night we had the amazing cocktails…

After Siem Reap, I spent a few days in Cambodia's Capital, Phnom Penh. I thought the traffic in Bangkok and Siem Reap was bad! - 10 times worse here - everybody just keeps driving, nobody yielding the right of way etc. Still it all seems to work and I didn't witness any collisions while I was the…
