Phönix China-Restaurant Frankfurt am Main Reviews
Chinese food - good for a quick lunch menu Feb 23, 2007
Phoenix is a Chinese restaurant near the Holiday Inn in Sachsenhausen, a district in the south of Frankfurt. The waitress is always very nice and friendly and even asked us once to help her with a take-away order because she speaks little English but realised that we do. There is one dish, the Beef Szechuan, that is really really good and whenever I go there I have that. Unfortunately, one of the reasons it is so tasty is that they seem to use masses of monosodium glutamate. The starters are, in my opinion, not really worth trying: they are all heated up the the microwave, making them dry and chewy.
It's a perfectly ok place to have a lunch because they have very good deals and menu offers for lunch. Just don't expect too much if you go for dinner because the quality is average and for starters not even that. Shame...
