Saint Martin is a tropical island in the northeast Caribbean, the island is divided roughly in half between France and the Netherlands Antilles; it is the smallest inhabited sea island divided between two nations.
The southern Dutch half comprises the Eilandgebied Sint Maarten (Island area of St. Martin) and is part of the Netherlands Antilles.
The northern French half comprises the Collectivité de Saint-Martin (Collectivity of St. Martin) and is an overseas collectivity of France.

Carnival Glory slipped quietly into Sint Maarten. Before I realized it, we were docked. As I looked across Great Bay, the water was the deepest azure blue I've ever seen! Beautiful place!

St. Maarten is a pristine island and home to beautiful beaches, amazing landscapes, and great shopping. Visited their naturalist beach, and believe me, these are not the people that you want to see around getting naked in the beach. The island is very small that you can roam the whole place for about a day. They also have the small butterfly farm, and be fascinated on how they raise those butterflies. 4 hours in the air, 20 minutes of taxiing the runways later, we touched down in St. Maarten. WOW! The runway was surrounded on 3 sides by water. Clearance of about 100 feet on either end of the runway had me gripping the armrest tight enough to turn my knuckles white.
