Went to Palawan last March for a short vacation. Known as the last frontier of the Phils. It boasts of its crystal clear waters, pristine beaches teaming with marine life. Nice place for scuba diving, snorkelling and communing with nature.

Celebrated Kittyn's passing the US nursing board exam at one of the country's premier beaches-- BORACAY! Met up with some good old friends also. Great company, sugary white sand, pristine water, fresh air and great food! What more can you ask for?

Things started off well and good as my 3 friends and I began our 3 hours + journey to Kawasan Falls. Upon reaching there, we walked along a path thru the greenery and woods. After about 10 mins walk, the beautiful cascading waters at the first level greeted us. I requested to climb up to …

Fancy waking up late one morning, and chancing upon the Three Musketeers perched on a broken stool in my mom's makeshift tool shed. The curious trio were marveling at the birds flying all around above them, oblivious of the half-awake man with the camera peeping out the window for a shot or two, th…

I surprised my family when I came home on Friday, Feb 9th, to the Philippines and announced I'm going with them to Bohol. I am so glad I decided to go because as expected it was sooo fun with us cousins goofing around and just laughing our hearts out (although it would have been the best if all of …

With Apo feeding this idea over coffee with Isabel 2 weeks ago, I
started to get excited. Learning 3 days before the adventure that a
date was finally set got me greatly excited.
So after much SMS-ing I finally met up wit…

I'd been under the impression that "V" and "B" were allophones (and interchangeable) in the Philippines and I understood that to be the reason for the two different spellings for the local language. But I've now learned that native speakers of Visayan languages, especially Cebuano, Hiligaynon…

Pearl Farm Resort is an awesome place to stay. The inviting beach is only 45min-1hour away from its jetti. One novelty of the resort is an infinity pool that borders the beach where one can spend the whole day watching the gently snorkeling and diving. The resort offer well-appointed,73 different guestrooms cottages with the beach just a few steps away. A freshly caught meal can be cook on the spot. There's no going hungry after a long day at the beach or hiking the natural trails.

Below are my tips for taking a trip here:
It's easy to go to this beach. Again being so close to Manila. You can get any of the buses scattered along the EDSA highway, either at Cubao or…
