Philippines: Boracay Reviews
Great time in Boracay Dec 17, 2012
I spent 3 weeks in Borcay in November & December 2012.
There are 2 main beaches in Boracay, White beach and bulabog beach.
White beach is the perfect dream beach, white sands, coconut trees, lot of shops and restaurants. There is nothing much to say if you like this kind of overcrowded beach. It’s very similar to Chaweng beach in Koh Samui, Thailand. You will find everything you want and so many things you don’t need.
Bulabog beach is on the other side of the island, it’s 5 minutes walk only. From White Beach go to the main road by D Mall, and then go straight to Bulabog Beach. What you will find, kite surf resort, Kite surf school and kite surf bars. There is only one thing to do when it’s windy Kitesurfing.
Start at Exit Bar on White Beach, it’s a kitsurfers bar, 50 PHP per drink. Local Rum, you will get drunk very quickly.
On White beach you have 2 bars – nightclubs: Summer Place and Epic. It’s full of Westerners and Korean / Chinese. Don’t waste your time with Korean Girls, Fish you can see Fish you can’t get.
On White Beach / Main road, you have 2 clubs: Coco Manga and Clup Paraw, they face each other. It’s full of Filipino girls waiting for you.
Food – Restaurant:
Cheap restaurant: The smoke (Filipino Food) & Munchies (Filipino and Mexican Food), Japanese restaurant clause to shabu shabu on White beach.
Food court: Talipapa, buy your food (meat and Fish) with a local and get it cooked in any restaurant close to the food court.
Islakite: 2600 PHP/night, kite school, very friendly, nice place place to have a beer before going out. only one room with the sea view!
Lazy Dog very close to Bulabog Beach: 2300 PHP per night with breakfast. Very good staf. No sea view.
Boat trip to Seco Island: small Island with no inhabitant you can go there with a catamaran or fisherman boat. There is only one thing to do in Seco: Kitesurf.
Spider House on white beach: Be there for sunset.
