It's my 4th time around...

I live four blocks from the Art Museum in Philly. I love to go down and go into the museum about once a month. On nice sunny warm days I go down to relax or take a run. If you are every in Philly I recommend it!! Here are some pics from around the city.

some sights of USA

I spent just over three weeks in the Big Apple. It was my first big adventure which has made me want to pack up my bags and take off again, possibly for much much longer next time!

I decided to spend spring break to go to Italy. It was my second time there, and my first time solo. Since this was offseason, I figure it would be a great time to go. The weather is nicer, and it should be less crowded (or I thought). I planned to visit Rome, Venice, Florence, Pisa, Siena, and return to Rome. The places I've lived...

I flew to Philadelphia, spending four nights there. I then took the Acela to Washington DC, again spending four nights. I then flew home from DC.

I do not know about you, but I found Philly magical. I arrived a bit before 6am, and the city lights overwhelmed me (fyi, even the NY lights didnt awe me)

Our son took a job in Philadelphia for the summer, so naturally, mom wants to visit and see that he is eating healthy, getting his sleep, the whole maternal thing. I convinced her we needed to stop at the various historic sites along the way since I teach American History. I had not had the opportunity to visit some of these places till this past summer. Here are my observations....
