Philadelphia Marriott Downtown

So the best thing I can say about this hotel is that the rooms are exactly as the webpage shows them picture perfect. The rooms appear to have older furniture that are impeccably maintained, and the decor is updated but still has all the historical charm you would expect in philly. There are beautiful black and white shots of the city and its architecture all over the hotel and in the room.

My favorite part of the room was two very large windows, at least 8' tall, that have the arch at the top with a window seat at the foot of each window. Although the view was just of other buildings from my side of the building architecturally it was beautiful to look at anyway. I recommend staying here because as I soon found out you are in walking distance of so many hot spots. So, I hope this review helps. Enjoy your stay.

Vacation! One of many things I enjoy about vacation is staying at hotels! The location of this hotel is great ... walking distance to everything, including the SEPTA at Market East Station!!

The hotel room was spacious for a hotel in an old city. It had the basics - bed, chair, desk. As many hotels, the linens were white, which is nice as one can tell that it is clean. The bathroom was spacious also, with room to move around in and counter top space to place toiletries (see pics).

The concierge was friendly and helpful. It's nice to have someone to ask for directions or answer questions about the city.

I booked this hotel via TravBuddy which made it convenient and easy. I would recommend this Marriott hotel. Please note, that the Marriott Courtyard is about a block away.

What a surprized to find a very nice place like this, so close to all the historic sites, as well as shopping and many restuarants at such a good price! One night here was only $135.00 US, but no meals or parking are included. Even thought the address is Market Street, the main enterance is off Filbert Street. I believe there is another Mariott in Philadelphia, but it is much farther away from the sites, so be sure you book this one.

The only issue I had with this hotel was the bed. It was way to soft for me. I did sleep good, but maybe that was because of all the walking we did while we were in town, and the two glasses of wine I had during dinner :) I prefer a much harder mattress to sleep on. Our room was a nice size, not to big, but enough room for the two of us to move around. The bathroom was large with plenty of counter space. The shower was nice, but could have used a little more water pressure. We had a room on the 19th floor, but there are multiple elevators to use and they all move quickly.

We didn't get a chance to see the pool, which is on the 7th floor, or any of the other amenities they have to offer. We did use the restuarant for breakfast, which was very nice, and the Concierge to find a place to eat our first night there. He was so helpfull, and even called ahead and made the reservation for us.

Every employee we had contact with was polite, helpfull, friendly and a pleasure to interact with! If you are looking for a place in downtown Philadelphia, this is the place to stay. We will definitly come back here again!
