Phang Nga is a province in thailand which is directly north of Phuket island. Several people do not realised that they actually have been to Phang Nga thinking that they were in Phuket.

Phang Nga have East and West side. West of Phang Nga is Andaman Sea, with clear strong wave. On the East of Phang Nga is Phang Nga Bay, with hundred of small magnificient small islands. Amoung them is Ta Pu island, Ko Hong, etc. The sea is much calmer on the east side of Phang Nga, but the scenary is equally breath taking.

You can find the, so-called, 'James Bond' Island here which the film 'Dr No' was filmed.

Today we took one of those huge group tours to “James Bond Island,” so named because it was a 1974 filming sight in the Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun. The trip actually bought us to several islands in the Phang Nga Bay National Marine Park. I was really expecting the worse from this trip. It has to be bad … everyone on the island is selling trips to it. And I just hate these types of organized tours. Chris (TB: reikunboy) even posted a recommendation that we cancel the trip! S...

After I have taken the picture of the Phang Nga east coast, I have to come to the land and take the photos too. So, after arrangement with the long tail boat and a bungalow to take a shower in, I come to ‘Yacht Heaven’ (The one of two marina in Phuket) Although there is so many really nice yacht there, my vehicle for today would be really old ‘Long tail boat’. Of course, I look at yacht with envious eyes but still wave hello to anyone who sees me get on the old little boat of mine. Pe...

JAN 2004--Thanks to my roommie Lars' excellent planning, I was spared of having to get stuck in Singapore for the long Chinese New Year weekend. We ended up mostly in Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi, seeing something familiar and something new in the many-faceted country of Thailand. This album shows our photos in Phang Nga (not to be confused with Pha Ngan or Phangan). Some snapshots...
