Today we took one of those huge group tours to “James Bond Island,” so named because it was a 1974 filming sight in the Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun. The trip actually bought us to several islands in the Phang Nga Bay National Marine Park. I was really expecting the worse from this t…

After I have taken the picture of the Phang Nga east coast, I have to come to the land and take the photos too. So, after arrangement with the long tail boat and a bungalow to take a shower in, I come to ‘Yacht Heaven’ (The one of two marina in Phuket) Although there is so many really nice yach…

DAY04 - Jungle Safari Adventure, Phang Nga Province
posted by:
Nov 20, 2008 – Dec 03, 2008
Another early day, this time we're headed to Phang Nga province for some Safari/Adventure tour. The day started off with whitewater rafting, this was the highlight of the day. It's so much more fun and exciting than snorkelling. Our raft leader/guide was sexy in a badboy kind of way and so mischiev…

From Phuket, we arrived in Phang Nga...a complete contrast to the tacky, westernised streets of our last destination. Phang Nga was a small town, boasting two guest houses, and a restaurant...and not much else. Feeling better about being back in real thai territory, we dropped in at Mr Keens, who b…

2 relaxing weeks in Thailand. I stayed in Patong Beach with its exciting night-life. Beach was not the best you can find in Thailand, noise because of jet-ski and para sailing, etc... Trips to Phi Phi Islands, and Similan Islands are memorable , there you'll find peaceful white sandy beaches with clear water.

Arriving from Phuket to the sleepy and unpronouncable town of Phang nga was a good choice all round. We booked ourselves on a tour of the mangrove forests and karsts straight away and were wisked of by longtail boat to a Muslim fishing village, built on stilts beside a giant rock in the sea. We sta…
