Today was an easy one to talk about, because it involved only two things, driving and going to one place. So we were up pretty early because the hotel served a hot fresh full breakfast only until 9 a.m. The breakfast was a great change from what we had been used to having. Our motel supplied the breakfast (cheerios,toast and orange juice) and the super helpful lady at the counter gave us superb directions and helpful hints. We were soon on our way to check out the Petrified Forest. Basically, the trees were left at the bottom of river bed millions of years ago. The soot and silt and water and time made crystals grew in the trees leaving the wood turned to rock. We paid the admission and drove in. The first stop was at the giant log trail.
