Looking for immortality, I traveled to Petra, Jordan. The cup of Christ is surely to be located in Petra. All I have to do is choose, choose wisely and the Holy Grail will be mine. Just as long as I don't get greedy and let it cross the great seal.
I didn't find the Holy Grail, but what I did find was the all so lost feeling of, "AWE". What my eyes saw that day I will never forget. And to think that I never had planned to visit Jordan.
I chose...wisely

And so to Petra (Rock in Greek, hence petrology), but first a quick and belated book review:
Bill Bryson - A Short History of Nearly Everything
I was rather uncertain when approaching this book, but soon was hooked. It does exactly what it says on the tin, detailing the history of the universe an…

Hello All,Today I woke up at 6am for my free breakfast, and then my driver and I headed to the Petra National Park in time for 7am opening. It was the perfect time to be there. Hardly a soul was up that early, and that includes the many vendors that prey on tourists. After paying the admissio…

My blog for the vacation I had in the Middle East. For this year I planned to do something totally different (not being a western country). I ended up "picking" Syria, Lebanon and Jordan for this. In this blog I'll tell my experiences, but also try to give some tips for future travelers.

It was my number one New Year's resolution: to travel more. I've always travelled as much as possible, but this year I'm making an extra effort to see as much of the world as I can fit into 12 months. Now, almost half way through the year, I've resigned from my job and am going traveling around the US and South America for at least 6 months.
This blog is going to be picture-based. I'm a freelance journalist so won't have the time or the desire to make entries here!

Coffs Harbour, Australia -› LAX, USA -› …
A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labor and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both.
