A place to get away from the crowds Oct 16, 2008
If you want to get away from the crowds of tourists that flood the old town and castle area in Prague without going far, Petrin Park is an excellent place to go. It's quite large for a city park, and usually pretty quiet though not dead quiet either.

The park is built around a hill and from the top you can get excellent views from the hill. If you're not much of a hiker, you can take a funicular up, too. There are some attractions inside the park, like Petrin tower and a mirror hall. But it's mostly just beautiful nature and well-kept trails.
