An informal and reasonably priced French restaurant Jan 18, 2011
I went to Petits Plats for an office lunch and came away very impressed. The staff were very attentive and even lit the fireplace for us on an overcast Winter day. The restaurant is in a former townhouse and has several small dining rooms rather than one large space.

Petits Plats specializes in French influenced cuisine, though the Lunch menu includes a variety of sandwiches. I selected the Leg of Lamb sandwich, made with goat cheese and roasted peppers. French fries and a small salad accompanied the sandwich. One colleague ordered Mussels Provencale (also accompanied by French fies). The manager brought Foie Gras and Shrimp Tartar appetizers for the table.

I'd like to try their entrees/mains sometime whch include Beef Bourguignon and Steak Frites.

On a return visit to Petits Plats in early 2012, I ordered the Beef Bourguignon. It was delicious, very tender and nicely seasoned.

Very good and very reasonable!
