Pete Creek Hot Springs
Pete Creek Hot Springs Reviews
Pete Creek Hot Springs Aug 23, 2008
Pete Creek
To get to these springs you need to ford the river which can only be done in the fall, we succeeded in August and it was tough. The springs are worth the river crossing. There is one small pool at the bottom of the cliff that you can squeeze 5 bodies in tightly. The waterfall of spring water is scourching hot, so be careful. Also, bring a hat to keep the annoying waterfall from splashing in your eyes the entire time. There is also another pool at the very top of the cliff. The pool is nicly made of rock and mortar but is extremely too hot, not sure what they were thinking when they made this pool. These springs are worth the visit! If you head over to enjoy these great springs, please do your part to keep it cleaner than when you got there! Bring a trash bag just in case, thanks! Getting there: From Atlanta take the Middle Fork Road (268) about 32 miles downstream (2.3 miles past Nienmeyer camp). Look for the springs across the river. There is no turnout, just park there on the road. Part of the Hot Springs Adventure 2008: Atlanta Idaho Area travel blog |
