"Take me out to the ball game,

Take me out with the crowd.

Buy me some peanuts and cracker jack,

I don't care if I never get back,

Let me root, root, root for the home team,

If they don't win it's a shame.

For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out,

At the old ball game."

Just what you will find yourself singing when you step in this place. I love baseball and all the excitement that comes with it. You will start your experience tailgating and enjoying your party with some grilling too! Playing music, laughing and betting the game. The park itself isn't cheap when it comes to buying just about anything. Most find it easier to ride the trolley to the park, it's cheaper, and less time to get there with traffic. Parking has a fee, and tickets are optional on how you buy them. Seasonal, individual, discounted, or even scout tickets outside stadium (probably not such a great idea). Watching the game from high, or even in the lawn area for fans to relax and kids to enjoy too. You'll love the downtown location and all thats included before and after your trip to Petco Park!

Whatever you decided, once you get in there are many things to do like restaurants, souvenir shops, concession stands, and bars of course too. Adults will have their enjoyment and hopefully safe while doing it, get ready to watch the Padres in action!

Congratulations on your review being featured! I wanted to visit in 2004 but duty (Iraq) called. I did go in 2005 when I returned back and it was a great experience! Great location next to the Gaslamp District and the Convention Center with great views of the downtown area. Also, I love how they incorporated the corner of the Western Metal Supply building being the left field fair/foul pole.

Best Baseball Park May 11, 2011
This is the best Southern California Baseball Park!!!!!!!!!!!

Once the game is over you can walk out of the stadium, right into downtown San Diego...perfect if you don't want to drive around the city

It is no secret that we love to visit baseball stadiums.  I had only been to one stadium in the last two years and it was a repeat.  A quick glance at the 2011 baseball schedule reminded me…Petco Park in San Diego Target Field in Minneapolis Yankee Stadium in New York Rogers Center in Toronto Tropicana Field…
