Pertisau Vacation Guide
Pertisau is a small cosy village enclosed by mountains and a view to the Achensee. It was not overcrowded when we where there.
It's a great place to ski, langlauf (cross-country) or hiking. Even in the middle of the village there is a loipe (track) for langlauf beginners.
From the village - from the hotels even - several tracks and trails start, so you don't have to go by bus/car/lift before you can start.
You can make great walks through the mountains and along the way there are a few 'huts' where you can relax with a hot chocolate
or schapps near an open fire. We really enjoyed our stays there!

just returned from a great two weeks in the Harfenwirt hotel niederau.walked for 12 days out of 14, now feel in need of a holiday!!great area for walkers of all abilities.quiet, typical austrian area, no good if you are into shopping and nightlife.A strudel a day ensured we put back on the calories we burnt off walking!!hope you like the photos.
