Un rêve...

down under

One year on the long and bumpy road of South and Central America. Our second year started off with 12 weeks in New Zealand. Then we headed to Australia! Eagerly clutching our working holiday visas we are set to stay in Australia for one year to work and travel!

This is my big Europe trip of 2008, my plan is to upload all the photos and then add some blogs after. I have a route map there which was the original plan but alot of those places changed. Only the places with photos are accurate :)

This is an itinerary of our trip around the world and does not include any journal entries.

Traveling across the world

My long-awaited tattoo in Singapore followed by some catch-ups and sight-seeing in Indonesia. A new love :)

Aaron's sister Fiona was getting married, so we took jetted off back to the sunny land of Oz.

A simple night out for pina coladas and dinner, turned into a night I couldn't remember. There are only a few photos, because for most of the night I had no idea that my camera was putting rabbit ears on everything. The only thing I do remember - I didn't actually have any pina colada...

Perhaps unsurprisingly, popular international cuisine differs from country to country. By that I mean, that the average Joe wanting to broaden his usual culinary horizons might pop out for Chinese, or Indian, or perhaps buy some Greek dips and pitta bread for tea. He might not even call it tea, but there I digress from my point. My point is, that grocery shopping in Australia when I first settled down and began to LIVE in Australia, started to COOK in Australia, and stopped backpacking about ...

So we took the car and sped our way up to Coral Bay.. 2500km return trip with so many memories :)

this was a working holiday trip to thredbo australia. it is a dental confrence where dentists and associates meet for lectures and snow time. it is held every year on the 3rd week in august the middle of the ski season in australia. its a basic excuse to go skiing and get a tax deduction at the same time!!
