I only had 9 days to visit my friend in Perth but wow it was an amazing place. It might be the most isolated big city but it is well worth the trip. Lots to see and do and lovely people and beautiful as well !

Perth-Scotland and Perth- Western Australia

In 2007 i went on a 16 country adventure through Europe and Egypt :) Being my first massive adventure i booked alot of tours and took taxis in the beginning which i discovered i don't enjoy doing. By the end i preferred just walking around discovering things myself.

The city of Perth is situated on the backs of the Swan River and is sait to be closer to Singapore then what it is to Sydney. I have lived here since Feb and have found it a likable, easygoing city.  The people are friendly, the weather is great and its quite an easy city to get around.  The only bad thing about Perth is that it is MILES from any Australian city - Adelaide is the closest and even thats far away! If your in Perth for a few days you can find plenty of things to do -...

While being deployed around the Pacific, I was able to visit a whole new world for me.

And this is where we finish our wonderful and short holiday adventure back home.  Everyone was brave when saying goodbye and this time there was only a few tears shed.  I think there were a few more after we walked through the departure gates considering that we were sad to be leaving.  But we keep saying to everyone how quickly the first year went, think how quick the 2nd will go.

Australia IV - This will be an adventurous trip for us. Our plan is to travel from Darwin to Broome and some days around Perth. Depending the weather we'll travel through Kakadu>Litchfield>Katherine & Kimberley >via Northern HWY or Gibb River Rd :-)

G'day! Well I arrived from a rainy Hong Kong last Wednesday to glorious sunshine and checked into the backpackers for a couple of nights initially.  The next day it RAINED!  I must have brought the weather with me ...  I did get out though just to get my bearings but gave up after a couple of hours!  Perth is a cool place.  The backpacker that I'm staying in is in Northbridge near the city centre so not too bad a walk every day.  It's keeping me fit put it that ...

this was a working holiday trip to thredbo australia. it is a dental confrence where dentists and associates meet for lectures and snow time. it is held every year on the 3rd week in august the middle of the ski season in australia. its a basic excuse to go skiing and get a tax deduction at the same time!!

Gooday mates!!!! Well we have been in Oz for about 2 weeks now and we are really getting into the swing of things round here - the sun, the beaches, the long long straight roads, barbies, we have even seen alive Kangaroo's at last (instead of the squished ones at the side of the road)!! This trip essentially began with a week in beautiful Sydney, Australia. I wasn't sure of my itinerary, but I did pick up a Vietnamese Visa in Sydney, so after a few days visiting friends in Perth, I headed that way from down under. After Vietnam, I revisited Bangkok and Frankfurt to complete my Round the world adventure!

Well, finally i made it. After 22 hours of flying i arrived in perth, Australia. Well arrived on the airport, but you are still not there yet. First you will have to wait a long time to get into the county (customs). Then the always great guessgame, will my luggage be there. Fortunately it was. And then stand in line again for baggage control. As the waitingtime there seemed to be over an hour, i was glad to be picked out of the line and brought through a backdoor.
