King's Park in the center of Perth is the ideal place to go to on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Just beautiful views on the city and the river, and magnificent botanical gardens... Also a place to remember the sacrifices made by all those to whom we owe so much!

This was my first time taking night shots using a tripod. I don't think I did too badly but being the perfectionist I am I know I can do better.

I'm all packed.
Farewell to Mike and Alana, and here's to re-seeing them again soon.
I take an early bus to the airport for my early flight.
All is peaceful.
I hate leaving a country I feel a part of. So far this has only happened to me in Korea and Nepal outside of Perth.
I board the plane. We take off and I take my final glance out the window, saying goodbye to the land of the morning calm again.
In Singapore, I find I have a slight delay and get online to discover Winnie propp…

Bonjou Mon Amie,I'm leaving TOMORROW! this is a very shocking thing to remember (because i forget and then it hits me again) less than 24 hours until i am on a plane on my first leg Perth - Singapore! I am very lucky getting to fly Sg Airlines (my favourite) because that was part of my parents birthday present for my 18th.. I feel very blessed! (especially since i would not ever have been able to afford it myself). The other part, VERY EXCITING, is what i am writing on as we speak... new lapt…

Perth, Western Australia: The most isolated city in the world. Designed to keep all the people we dont like away! A great city to grow up in and within close reach of some of the most beautiful spots on the planet: beaches, rainforests, deserts, canyons and great people!

On Wednesday we went to Kings Park in Perth. It was a really beautiful park and there were lots of joggers and families having picnics there enjoying the warm weather. The views of the city and the rivers are absolutely incredible there. Wonderful for picture taking! It was pretty hot that day tho so we didn't stay for too long. After we left the park, we headed to downtown Perth to do a little shopping! They have a great little shopping area that is closed to traffic. We had l…

Not much to report for the last few days in Melbourne.
Basically, we just went shopping and lounged around a lot. So yeah, not much went on. Clothes shopping, grocery shopping to replace what we stole from Clint's fridge, and a bit of wandering finding things to eat.
Clothes shopping could be good in Melbourne. A lot of variety, and most things are reasonably priced. I didn't come with the intention of buying anything though, and didn't have the space.. so I just thought about what I could…

in west oz - staying with jen at mel (her cousin) and emmet's place in a suburb of perth. it has been one big food orgy since i arrived 3 days ago. after a quick nap, jen and i cruised down to cottlesloe to eat fish and chips (and fried shrimp, scallops and octopus) from a take out joint called amber jack's. the meal came wrapped in white butcher paper, sprayed with vinegar, served with a garlic aoli and eaten on a patch of grass overlooking a pristine beach …

The decision was made.. I was leaving Perth for a while.
Being a single man again, I decided some months ago that I should take the opportunity to disappear into the sunset back to Korea. Improve my Korean, live the life, and then decide where life will take me again in a year or so.
However, I somehow developed a new relationship in the middle of my decision-making.. so plan B. Hmm.
Luckily for me, my new girlfriend is Korean.. and going back to Korea at the end of the year.. what a…

Wow what a day, was up early this
morning which was quite difficult as the girl I was sharing a room
with last night was still asleep and she had gone to bed early the
night before aswell so i hadn't been able to pack my bags. So this
morning, I did as much as I could outside of the room before packing
my bag. So went to the phone and booked a taxi, then got into the
shower. By time I got out she had woken up as she had decided she was
going to phone sick into work. Which gave me a cha…

the surgeon comes in to tell me that the op went well (he told me immediately after op too, but i guess i was too out of it!) and they hadnt had to break my elbow bone! apparently because it was a nasty break the op was pretty complicated. i dont do things by halves eh?!
i also get the drain taken out, which was bloody painful, as well as the drip in my other arm! damn, no more intravenous drugs! funnily enough, the sticky tape holding the drip in place was pretty painful too when the nurse …
