 Authentic to Thunder Bay Only, Persians, cinnamon doughnut covered with pink icing, in all their glory Jun 10, 2009
Eat a Persian
Persians are yummy cinnamon buns coated with pink icing and are, apparently, only available in Thunder Bay. It is something you must try if you come to the city.They are along time tradition here and have been around for a long time. You can get them all over town to grocery stores to special pastry shops. It is an amazing experience you would never forget. I don't know why anyone else has not them anywhere in Canada. If someone else makes them elsewhere, let me know!! Its an amazing pastry that's best eaten with something hot. I highly recommend this. You can get them at The Hoito or any Robins Donuts The best ones are found at Nucci's Bake-a-deli on Red River Rd.
