Perla Hotel

The Perla Hotel is in the less salubrious part of Golden Beach. It is at the back of the resort and the rooms at the rear of the hotel back on the main road, so obviously traffic noise is apparent. To walk to and from the hotel you have to pass through the "Young, Lively and Single" part of Golden Sands which is full of Karaoke bars, discos and large organised pub crawls. Also the local prostitutes hang around this area which is not pleasant from 9 0'clock in the evening onwards. The food in the hotel is the pits poorly presented and without much taste and the restaurant is really disorganised with dishes not being replenished. You also have to pay for sunbeds to sit around the hotel pool. The holiday and hotel was bad choice on our part and we would never return here. Everything very commercialised and busy.

This hotel was a terrible choice. To start with it was full of large school parties which we had no way of knowing when booking. We would have booked elsewhere if we had known. we had school children staying either side of us and it was disruptive. We had a spacious room on 5th floor with ineffective air conditioning and as the lift was unreliable many times we had to walk up the stairs. The food was poor and unimaginative and if you did not get into the dining room, which was disorganised, often there was only a limited choice left. It was located at the back of the resort and it was uphill trek back from the beach. We were quite pleased to leaved the hotel at the end of our holiday and regrettably we would advise against booking here.
