Good casual dining May 13, 2010
We don’t have Perkin’s where we live in California, and we always look forward to going to different places while on vacation, at least for our dinner meals. It is a casual dining coffee shop much like Denny’s or Carrow’s. Started in Cincinnati back in 1958 as a Pancake House, it now has grown to nearly 500 locations in 34 states and 5 provinces of Canada and includes much more than breakfast. Food prices are modest, and meals are nicely sized without being super-sized as is now common. Our waitress was attentive and offered good advice. I had the roast beef, baked potato, corn bread. There was way too much gravy! Judy had Cod, baked potato, carrots and a roll, and we both had coffee. The food was good but like I said, way too much gravy.

When the gravy nearly runs off the plate and covers everything, I consider it too much. :D
