Perhentian Kecil Vacation Guide
Perhentian Kecil is the smaller of the two Perhentian Islands, with the other one called Besar.
Perhentian Kecil is truly paradise on earth. White sandy beaches, crystal clear water ideal for snorkeling and diving, nice nightlife, the island is a true haven for all backpackers.
With development levels far below those of other Malaysian Islands such as Langkawi or Penang, Perhentian Kecil offers untouched natural beauty in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere. Kecil has more than one beach with the best one definitely being Long Beach, followed closely by Coral Bay.
Long Beach, as the name suggests, is a long stretch of beach with a wide variety of accommodation options. From very budgeted toilet-sharing chalets in the range of RM 30 per night, there is the option of fine air-conditioned accommodation in the form of Bubu Long Beach Resort.
All in all, Perhentian Kecil is the ideal place to have a laid back vacation where one can soak up the sun and completely unwind.
