Pension Vogtlandhof

Pension Vogtlandhof, located in the town of Schöneck, offers accommodation possibilities for young and old, nature lovers and everybody, who is interested in activity holiday.

The location is pretty special and often quoted as the ‘Balcony of the Vogtland’ because an impressively wide view gives you a welcome feeling of freedom high above the rest of the surrounding.

There are different sized apartments (for 2 up to 6 people) available. A bit disturbing was the fact that we had to sleep in beds that reminded of older ashtrays during the first nights but apart from that the accommodation was adequate.

A small bathroom and cooking niche belong to every apartment. Because of these self-catering facilities you have to pay extra for your breakfast, which isn’t too big and varied but nevertheless enough and fresh milk and eggs from the own farm are a positive enrichment.

Thanks to different farm animals behind the house especially children enjoy amusing times in a countrified idyll.
But many other destinations nearby like the only topaz rock in Europe (which isn’t that obvious but special anyway), therapeutic bathes in Bad Elster and Bad Brambach, a summer toboggan run (really good fun unless there are a few overcautious drivers in front of you) and winter sports facilities make this pension worth a stay as well.
