I got a single room with a washbasin. The is clean bed and the room has a lot of storage area, a desk and 2 chairs. The bath room is clean and shared. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They give good directions of how to get to were you want with options. At the reception you can ask for a safety box and fill a form of contents. The breakfast is included in the rent and there service is quick. If you like old cairo this is the best location cuz its close to all main attractions in old cairo.

Central Downtown Location Jan 04, 2010
Stayed here for the duration of my time in Cairo. Its fairly well situated, central downtown location. It is located on a little side street off a fairly busy street. If you want something a little quieter ask for something facing off the street. I stayed here 3 times, and in 3 different rooms.A large single with balcony(66.5 egp). A very large triple with another traveller (49 egp each). And a small single, no balacony (59 egp).Rooms are kept clean, housekeeping each day and beds were made. Sink in the rooms i stayed in,shared bathrooms, hot water was no problem...had propane heat.Breakfest well ...sucked. It consisted of buns and cheese, and coffee/tea, and juice. Typical of most places in Egypt where you got breakfest included with the rate.Mosquitos were also a problem at nights. Had mosquito coils though,so no big deal.Good location, about a 20 minute walk to the musuem.Metro is close by. I paid 70 egp for a taxi from the airport...probably too much but after 21 hours in travel was not about to barter to hard. Staff were helpfull when asking direction. Not overlly friendly or outgoing but not rude.

Well i stayed here 3 times. Hard to say it was great place to stay in Cairo.Nothing to compare it to. I would recommend it however, just for the location and that it was clean.Hope this helps.

The staff were really nice and helpful.

The rooms (some of them ensuite) are big and clean, with fans and, some of them, with a balcony.

Breakfast is included in the price (coffee or tea, bread, butter, jam and juice).

They have laundry service and sell bottles of water for 5 pounds.

If you leave Cairo for a few days and don't want to take all your luggage with you, they'll keep it for free if you stay in the hotel when you go back to Cairo.

There is a very popular local restaurant 5 minutes away, called GAD. It's always full. You can eat there or take away. The food is good and cheap.

There is a 24-hours internet cafe one and a half blocks away.

On the negative side, we had a few problems with the hot water in the shower. Basically, some days, there was none. Luckily enough it was so hot that we didn't mind that much.
