Okay, I wanted to post some new pics but didn't want to write a Blog about everyone of them because they are from different places and different times. Every pic has a story of it's own so feel free to ask about any of them and I will be more than glad to answer. :)

9/11 Memorial
posted by:
Oct 30, 2006 - Nov 01, 2006
We stayed near Shanksville so we could make the short drive to see the site of the 9/11 plane crash.  It was humbling.  The site of the crash was actually beautiful, as you can see from the pictures.  It was one of the highest points for miles around.  Shanksville is so small...you can't actually stay in the town.

Phili

Today Laurel showed us around Phili, and it was a lot of fun. It was great just to see Laurel, but the added adventure of a brand new city made this one of my favorite road trip stops. We started with the Liberty Bell. Getting it out of the way, and it was pretty cool. Actually, it was VERY cool, because of the air conditioning (much appreciated!) Apparently some Philly schools were closed because of the heat--hilarious. Anyway, I thought of National Treasure the entire time. Not just at t...

Cancun was the first destination. Too much chaos for me. The surrounding islands were fantastic and I fell in love with the water once again.

Flying away
posted by:
Jun 26, 2006 - Jul 10, 2006
Today we flew out of the Philidephia Airport to Munich and then to Naples. Rachel's mom took us from Baltimore to Philly, which was insane, because we were caught in a torrential downpour on the way. Luckily we didn't expereince too many more of those during the time we spent in sunny Italia! We got to the airport and met up with Roxanne, Tania and Jackie, who were flying out of there also. We waited a lot, the flight was late, but eventually we were up in the air on on our way to Munich overn...

Today Steph and I met at the airport for our flight to France.   My suitcase only weighs about 32 lbs, because we'll be flying Ryanair when we get there, and the limit is 15 kilos.  My life for almost 3 months is in a suitcase weighing 32 lbs and a backpack.  My last meal in the states: scooby doo macaroni and cheese!!  Who knows when I'll have a chance to eat that again.  The flight wasn't too bad; I slept for a lot of it, but we st...

Will we fly?
posted by:
Jul 31, 2007 - Aug 06, 2007
Our flight was scheduled to take off early Wednesday morning.  However, our flight was through Northwestern which had just cancelled several hundred flights over the weekend; others that took off were late.  With a layover in Minneapolis of just about an hour, we didn't have much room for travel difficulty.  My mom prepared for possible trouble by printing off all flights from Pittsburgh to Minneapolis and then all flights from Minneapolis on to Salt Lake City.  Checking i...
