Penguin Hotel Miami Beach Reviews
affordable nice hotel May 26, 2014
it's a nice Little Hotel at Miami beach. it's calm cause it's not actually in the centre, but no 5 minutes away. I thought it's perfect like this cause after partying in the centre you can leave all this Trouble behind and just go to your Hotel and calm down. for breakfast I had to go to another Hotel, it was not that much but enough to not be hungry anymore. the room was enough, what I didn't like was the bathroom door, it was quite transparente and I was there with my best friend so I would have loved a Little more of privacy. I would say it's enough for People who don't spend much time in the room anyway, in that case it's recommendable!

Penguin Hotel - Miami Beach Mar 25, 2007
+ Cleanliness of the room, hotel,
+ not too expensive
+ room decor
The best thing about the room, was the indoor design.
It's a pretty modern, designer hotel. If you like affordable, and modern hotels, this one will be the right match for you.
However don't expect too much partying in or around the hotel.
The Hotel is located at the beginning/end or ocean drive, and there's really not much happening around there, even though it's on ocean drive.
you have to walk to the center of the street, or down the road to nikki beach.
The staff behind the front desk, spoke pretty bad english (because they were spanish, cuban.....). NO BIG DEAL though! However the guy who was there at night, looked pretty bored, and tired, everytime you knocked at the door, to get in, it took him minutes to open the front door.
The included breakfast was alright... it looked tasty, was yummy, and healthy as well. In the morning the veranda and the dining room next to the lobby was quite packed. But it wasn't the case after 9 pm in the evening. At night you couldn't see one single person walking around in that hotel, which didn't look promising, because we went there on springbreak time.
For sure, The Penguin isn't a bad hotel. If you wanna visit the hotel with your familly, parents, friends... this is the place. But if you're still young, looking for fun, and meeting people, there might be better hotels on the strip, or just in one of the streets next to ocean drive.
