Tasty treats on skewers! May 06, 2007
Many of you may have had or seen a Chinese "steamboat" before, which is basically cooking raw food and seafood by dipping it into boiling stock. Lok-lok is similar to this but the food is in the form of skewers and you dip it in boiling water instead. The food must then be dipped into the sauces available to bring out the aroma and flavor. One can rack up a huge bill if not careful. Certain items like prawns can be expensive. So check the price thru the color code.

It can be easily found in food establishments in the city. Good places include Pulau Tikus Market (Night), Chulia Street (Night), Supertanker Food Court (Night) and Weld Quay (Night). I hope you enjoy my description and pic I made. If you like the pic, please comment. I will put up more.

To me...the best lok lok or satay celup is still in melaka with its satay gravy.
