Modern Art gem in Venice Mar 05, 2008
This is the one museum in Venice that truelly amazed me. The place itself is a work of art from the sculptural gateway entrance to the sculpture garden has a great view being on the bank of Venice's Grand Canal. It is actually Peggy Guggenheim's former home (her uncle, Solomon R Guggenheim, is the founder of New York's famous Guggenheim).

The collection includes masterpieces of Cubism, Futurism, Metaphysical painting, European abstraction, Surrealism, and American Abstract Expressionism, including famous artists such as Picasso, Duchamp, Brancusi, Mondrian, Kandinsky, Miró, Klee, Dalí, Pollock, the list is quite impressive.

A must for anyone into modern art or art in general!
