Finally I made it there! 6 Days for exploring the city and Montserrat. I love Spain, and Barcelona was no difference :)

I've decided that it is no use to explore the world without knowing your own country. And even more, I've realized that there are many beautiful places in Belgium that I haven't yet visited. So, number one on the list for 2009 and beyond is to explore more of my tiny country. I'll list my little trips in this blog to keep you posted :)

After years of thinking about it and months of planning about it I finally decided to really do it. This will be my first solo trip ever! A one months journey from Bangkok over Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh, and all the way up through Vietnam. Let me share this adventure with you! ***UNDER CONSTRUCTION: I will for now type only in Dutch to keep my parents updated, but when Im getting back home I will write the full report on everything in English for you***

This is my blog for all you lovely TB's I've met. Starting with meeting May and her Thailand gang and the wonderful Amsterdam NYE meet-up full of lovely people, where I finally met Aioh and JC :) Hope many more are to come!

We took an 11-days trip from Krakow over Zakopane to Warsaw. It was a great holiday, stuffed with amazing architecture, authentic quarters, breathtaking nature and lovely cheesecakes and desserts :D

I went on a tour through Thailand and so on my first non-Europe trip, to see this beautiful country that I will surely visit again in the future. It was absolutely wonderful! I'm in love :)

My most remarkable travel memories are linked to Spain. It must be the most beautiful country I have ever seen. So I went to see some new cities this summer and to revisit some others. We traveled from Madrid to Sevilla, Granada, and finally Malaga.

In this blog you'll mainly find my reviews about the hostels and café's I like in Leuven. This is my hometown and I love it! If you have any questions, just ask!

In may 2003 I went backpacking through the south of Spain with my classmates. It was a memorable trip I will never forget. Here you can read some translations out of my diary I wrote back than. Hope you enjoy it!

I went to visit some friends of mine who did there internship in Toscana. I was there for only one week, for the first time visiting the Italian mainland. It was quite a rush to see as much as I could, yet it was wonderful! [Note: most pictures in this blog are not mine... Don't have any digital pictures of this trip]

Last summer I went surfing in the North of Spain. Zaroutz is a small town pretty close to San Sebastian and Bilbao. Though I'm a poor surfer, it was a wonderful trip.

During my second year in university we took a trip to Berlin. Most I remember are the wild parties we had there, but Berlin also surprised me with its modern feel and the many great things to see.

Dubrovnik is a small and quite touristy town in the South of Croatia. Most known is the old city and the harbor, but also the small islands surrounding it. [Sorry for the bad quality of some pictures. I had to use our prehistoric scanner to upload them...]

Four years ago I went visiting friends in Sardinia for one week. It wasn't a special trip since the only thing I got to see were beaches. Never the less it was better than Belgium's rainy summer, and believe me: Sardinia's beaches are amazing! [Sorry for the bad quality of some pics. I had to scan them with our prehistorical scanner...]

Paris is my favourite city! I just love it, but yet I have seen only so little of it... I will go back there in the future for sure, so this entry is 'to be continued'. [Note: most pictures in this blog are not mine... Don't have any digital pictures of this trip]

In 2002 our school took us on a trip to Chartres. We went to study the cathedral over there, which is one of the most famous in France. It was a memorable week that brought us all to our knees in reverence. [Note: most pictures in this blog are not mine... Don't have any digital pictures of this trip]

In 1999 (I was 13 years old back then) I went to a Mediterranean country for the first time with my parents. The destination was Formentara, a tiny island close to Ibiza. We went back there two years later, because it is so peaceful there. [Note: most pictures in this blog are not mine... Don't have any digital pictures of this trip]

I only was a short time in South East England, but it was memorable. The most beautiful thing I remember of it are the cliffs in Dover and the Canterbury cathedral. Truly magnificent!

I was only a child when I visited this wonderful city in Germany. But I felt writing just a small blog about it because even after all this years, I still remember it so vividly. I was highly impressed by it's sights and the surrounding nature. Trier is truly a great place to visit.
