music and movies, photography, foreign cultures and religions, going out with friends and having a good laugh, riding roller coasters, visiting museums, getting in touch with history, admiring architecture, seeing shows and musicals, hanging out in the anonymous buzz of train stations/airports, people watching, drinking exotic cocktails on terraces all around the world, trying out new restaurants (and just eating in general), watching sunsets, (day)dreaming, planning future travels, following my curiosity to where it leads me, writing poems/stories/travel blogs/..., learning new things of any kind, drawing and sketching, enjoying life, meeting the world
Most Memorable Travel Experience
--> Backpacking through Andalusia (Southern Spain). The views over the Ronda valley, the mystique old mosque in Cordoba, the mighty Alhambra in Granada and the white villages of the Alpujarras. And later visiting Madrid also to have delicious tapas and Tinto de Verano on Plaza Santa Ana. I'm in love with Spain, it is always on top of my travel list :)

When I come to think about it I've loved traveling ever since I was a child. I've always liked to see new places and to discover new cultures and architectures. I'm an addict really, traveling is what I live for and my goal is to see as much as I possible can. The world is so big and life is so short!
What can I say more about myself? I am a 23 years old Belgian girl, working for an insurance company in Leuven. I'm curious and honest, but also shy and sometimes a bit lazy. I wouldn't describe myself as outgoing, although I love to meet new people and to have fun. It's my goal to enjoy every little part of life, and to be positive and good to others.

I've decided that it is no use to explore the world without knowing your own country. And even more, I've realized that there are many beautiful places in Belgium that I haven't yet visited. So, number one on the list for 2009 and beyond is to explore more of my tiny country. I'll list my little trips in this blog to keep you posted :)

Bangkok, Thailand -› Siem Reap, Cambodia -› …
After years of thinking about it and months of planning about it I finally decided to really do it. This will be my first solo trip ever! A one months journey from Bangkok over Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh, and all the way up through Vietnam. Let me share this adventure with you!

Naar Praag ga ik met mijn collega's van het werk. Ik zie alleen tegen de gigantische busreis op. 12 uur heen en 's maandags weer 12 uur terug! Volgend jaar heb ik alleen nog maar Kaapstad staan, omdat ik 5 tickets "gescored" heb voor WK-voetbal wedstrijden. In het voorjaar hoop ik met een aantal TB's een klein weekje Istanbul te gaan doen.
Verder ideeën om vanuit Moskou de trans-siberië-express te nemen naar China en dan via Hong Kong weer terug. Maar slechts ideetjes :)
Momenteel nog afwachten op mijn werk. We zitten ook 'tijdelijk' in de deeltijd WW, maar we hebben veel klanten in de USA, en daar trekt het weer iets aan, dus hopen we het beste er maar van.
Het weekend was redelijk druk, gisteren dan. Doordat de bladeren ruimschoots vallen, heb ik de dakgoten schoon moeten maken, en tevens een aantal gebarsten dakpannen vervangen :). Moet ook gebeuren hè.

Ik zie da je naar syria en Jordan wil gaan volgend jaar :O groepsreis of? zit er ook aan te denken, weet nog niet wat ik precies volgnd jaar wil gaan doen.. zijn zo veel keuzes!!
