Peak Nam Toong Temple Kota Kinabalu Reviews
Colourful temple near the city center Jun 04, 2011
I love visiting chinese temple or temples in general, so when Karena had mentioned there was one on the way to her mom's place we could visit after going there, I of course said yes.
So, after leaving her mom';s house, we went to the temple. We could park the car right next to it. What struck me right away, was that this place doesn't seem to get many tourists, especially overseas ones. I'm not sure if it's a tourist destination, I hadn't read about it in my travelguide.
Anyways, the temple is very colourful & bright one. It seemed almost bright new to me. Nonetheless, the decorations, carvings, paintings and altars looked really beautiful. I kept taking pictures!
The entrance to the temple is free, but do keep in mind that the temple is open for use as well. One man came in and prayed, which meant we had to pay respect.
Part of the list What to see and do in Malaysia
