Peacock Beach Hotel

In Hambantota we were staying in ‘Peacock Beach Hotel’ for two nights.

First impression: nice driveway, pool on the left 

We were welcomed with a cold towel and a drink. Very nice service!

Our room, 105, at the ground floor, was spacious. Nice balcony. Mosquito repellent appliance provided, but no mini bar (which means no fridge), no coffee and tea facilities. A rather small bathroom…. but clean!!! Which I appreciated very much.

The restaurant (first floor) has great sea views! Dinner in buffet style (not so special), breakfast buffet was okay, view…. priceless!!

From the hotel you walk, taking the beach site, to town in about 15 minutes. A very quite beach, ocean to rough to swim!!

The pool is very nice. Beds and towels provided by a friendly pool attendant. Monkey entertainment (at the gangway of our room too!).

One remark: due to the heat it is very nice to use the a/c at night….. but no blankets provided. We asked for blankets 3 times, at last they told us that the hotel run out of blankets! They solved the problem by providing us with three sheets. This was not only solving our ‘chill’, but as well giving nice decoration opportunities :-)
