Peaberry Coffee Reviews

Jan 04, 2006

Peaberry Coffee is a small, Colorado-owned and operated chain of coffee shops.  It's run ethically, in that it does not, like a major non-Colorado competitor, find its sites by running out existing coffee shops by paying landlords three times the rent its predecessor was paying.

It's an enterprise well worth supporting for that and many other reasons.  I've been to most of its locations, and the young workers are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and the place is not pretentious.  I find it a great place to meet with clients.  Every location has a bulletin board where people can post business cards and flyers, and one drawing point in most locations is a book trade arrangement--one can bring books and leave them, and take them as well, freely.

Of course, it offers coffee-based and other drinks as well, and sandwiches, burritos, and desserts.

After this review was written, Peaberry's was bought out by the evil empire.  As of late February, it still retains its character, but who knows what will happen?

Support local businesses and Fair Trade.
