PAVILION MALL KL May 29, 2009
This is one of my favorite malls to relax, window shop, eat & drink in Southeast Asia. It is located at Bukit Bintang Walk past the monorail station going down towards the direction of HSBC, Planet Hollywood & Marriot Hotel.
Pavilion Mall was just built in 2007 and is now one of the hippest and upbeat malls in Asia. The mall is not really as huge as Mall of Asia(manila), Berjaya Times Square, or Central World(Bangkok) but is sufficiently spacious, relaxing, has a lot of in-house global signature stores, restaurants - fine dining and fast food center at the ground floor, coffee shops, and bars. I usually go to the fastfood area at the ground floor for my minum and makan (food & drinks)because there's some variety selection of Asian food flavors, icluding Chinese and filipino. The mall is kinda KLCC Suriaish which is also a trendy mall in Kuala Lumpur but I don't know.. I still prefer Pavilion's vibrance. If I want to relax in a mall in KL, this would be my kind of place. But of course I would still go to Low Yat Plaza for camera, laptop, gadgets hunting, and to Chinatown for other cheap bargains. Pavilion Mall was the coffee/dinner venue of the KL Travbuddy Meet-up on July 2008. The TBs met and gathered at Starbucks, had dinner at Madam Kwan's, and then hitted Jalan Ramlee for clubbing later in the evening. |

A day for well-deserved retail theraphy at my fave mall, Pavilion KL with my new good friend, bonded over TB - Danila. After shopping we had another well-deserved treat - a bottle of rose wine with tapas at La Bodega, and we were tipsy on Sunday night! Best part was that we got everything on discount… Shopping in Pavilion |

After the disappointment of exploring new malls this May, we opted for well-trodden path ... first to the Twin Towers (officially, Suria KLCC) then Pavilion. Both had amazing food halls but the shopping was a bit high-brow for us ... so we had a detour to Bukit Bintang and Sungei… Finding a Kiwi icon in a day of indulgence |

Pavilion Mall.
Interesting note with the monorail in KL ... the stations are sponsored by advertisers. Apart from ginormous murals on the stations, sponsors get their names as an adjunct to the station name ... not only in signage and print but also in all announcements… Sponsored in Kay-El |

Jorrit, JeAr & Hanie will be arriving from Singapore later in the afternoon and we will all go to the meet-up together. It's almost 12 noon. What am I gonna do? Be infront of the PC the whole day? I'll go to BB Plaza to exchange some money then have lunch somewhere. I'll go to Pavilion Mall.
