Patty Boom Boom is located on the second floor of an establishment. The first floor serves the worst beef patties and other types of patties you ever heard of (chicken patties, guava patties, etc). You'd be better off satisfying your appetite by going across the street for a huge slice of pizza.

However, once you get upstairs, you're very likley to have a great time. The music is usually pretty good and the crowd is mixed. The drinks are great (you can get a good swig of rum punch for $8). They serve Red Stripe beer to give you a taste of Jamaica.

If you're wandering around U street, that's something different, but if you're gonna straight there, in order to dress as best as possible, know that it's gonna be real hot up there. I mean really really really hot. There is very little air circulation; it's not really a stand around and socialize kind of place. The music is loud and the dancing is constant (that creates lot of heat)-so just be prepared! Enjoy yourself!
