Bangkok, Pattya, Songkran, Koh Phangan/Full Moon Party

Arrived at 00:20 in Suvarnabhumi International Airport. I was sleepy, hungry, excited and sick with flu. I followed the other Filipinos around the airport. One of my first travels, more than 20 years ago. I took a trip with my brothers in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. I was a little surprised that travbuddy doesn't yet have a lot of photos of Borobudur, so I decided to scan the old photos and take a walk down memory lane.

After I stayed a few days in Bangkok I visited my cousin and travelled alone to Pattaya because of a job offer. So I took a taxi and drove from Bangkok to Pattaya (about 1000 baht) because I wasn't sure if I've enough time to drive with a bus... Koh Samed is a small island about 3 hurs traveling by bus and about 20/30 minutes by boat. The island goth many nice bungalows at the beach and also the water is crystal clear. The water tempature is warm so is nice to swim in. The bungalows are available from 600 baht but depent on season when you travel to here and if it week day or weekend. Sunday, September 16, 2007 9:05:52 AM Sawasdee ka from Bangkok! I am having a GREAT time. My friend, Arty & her GF, Veronica are my guide and making sure that I get the best of my short vacation. Before Thailand, I was on a 6 hrs stop-over in Hong Kong. Went to to Ngong Ping Village to see the biggest sitting bronze buddha on top of a mountain, Tian Tan Buddha. Great site see! I need to climb 1,000 steps to the top to reach the zenith.

As this was my first time in the Land of Smiles, I was expecting something different. But once I was already there, the crazy thoughts I had before somehow changed and now I have fallen for this country. I have made a lot of amazing memories and shared very special moments. I shall return.
