Apparently it is best to do the big circle against the clock as when you walk across the pass you’ll have the beautiful view of Glacier Gray in front of you which of course if you go in clock direction you would not get.
Puerto Natales the starting point for the paines has plenty of B&B’s and hostels however not all are that good, so pick a good one, or good luck on the day it changes rapidly and if you did not book it could be hard finding a nice place to stay
With a Day tour on a bus you only pay for the transport (make sure if you do not speak Spanish ) to ask for English guide, then you are still asked to pay 3000 Pes$ for the cave and 15 000 Pes$ for the park entry, so better consider this when looking for this option and budget

never thought i would hike so many miles in a 2-week period. looking back, i'm astonished at what we had accomplished.

Today we set sail on a 4 day cruise through the fiords of Patagonia, from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales
We are boarding, or at least drop off our luggage in the morning and return after lunch to finally get on our way. The staff had placed our things in the beads and we just need to walk on board…
